The Mindful Sea
Poem by Sarah Leboff
The magnificent sea stretches for eternity on the horizon

Her vastness like the infinite possibilities of the mind
The lasy of today’s sunlight dances on het ripped surface, the final thoughts of the day before darkness falls and all is still
But the sea doesn’t sleep
Her rolling waves cradle life beneath, sometimes calm, sometimes fierce
Nurturing and powerful
Forgiving and unforgiving
A paradox
Yet the sea doesn’t judge, her waves like the breath, breathing in the sharp salty air, allowing this moment to be
Perfect, as the gentle hum washes over like a rock in the ocean
Anchored. Grounded. Present.
Emotions shipwrecked on a beach with a million shiny shells
A new day begins
High tide, low tide, changing colours, temporary thoughts
A flood of emotions
But the sea remains
